Agriculture
The Participatory Agriculture application supports decision-making and wisdom sharing in the area of environmental monitoring. Geographically distributed users can meet in the Global Lab and share the same experience, such as the current condition of a rice paddy or vineyard.
- The field server of the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) provides real-time video images and other data (e.g., temperature, humidity).
- The field server of Shinshu University provides real-time data and additionally, the camera can be controlled.

The connection between real and virtual world was established using the Twin-World Mediator, developed by Wisut Hantanong and Songpol Attasiriluk, two NII International Internship students from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
